Andrew McMurray LI
Chief Executive Officer
Andrew is a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for responsible hydrocarbon recovery and technology development. Throughout his career, Andrew has been successful in developing and executing disruptive completion technologies in the industry as an operator with Shell or as part of a service company, STEP. Before Co-Founding Shear FRAC Group, LLC, Andrew was the General Manager of Canada for Darcy Partners, focused on identifying, developing, and accelerating innovative technology across multiple petroleum verticals.
Thomas Johnston LI
Chief Operating Officer
Tom started thinking about how unconventional rocks fail in high school and went on to gain an MS Geology from Penn State University, focusing on geomechanics and reservoir engineering. Tom honed his passion for unconventional reservoir development at Noble Energy in the Marcellus, Eagle Ford, and Permian Basins. His last position at Noble Energy was as a development and operations geologist before joining Shear FRAC Group, LLC.
Robert Dack LI
VP of Software Services & President
Rob has over 25 years in the seismic industry, supporting operations and software development, where he guided and tested software development, culminating in the position of area geophysicist with Fugro and CGG. Rob has provided technical leadership in many international locations. Rob serves as Chief of Software Services at Shear FRAC Group LLC and President (Canada) where he guides software development and supervises the operations team.
Danny Phillips LI
Chief Software Architect
Danny started in geoscience software development and geo-modelling at Exxon Production Research, then went on to co-found Stratamodel Inc that provided E&P industry’s first commercial 3D patented geo-modeling software. Danny then consulted for Murphy Oil Gulf of Mexico and Eagle Ford Group providing geo-modeling, seismic attribute modeling and fault/fracture analysis. He then programmed FracBRAIN® engine and is currently guiding improvements and development of FracBRAIN® real-time, automated fracture analysis and guidance.
Brett Long LI
External Manager
Brett is a finance professional with a passion for helping companies grow through financial structure, capital raising and corporate governance. During his career, Brett has been successful in bringing numerous companies to a liquidity event through various initiatives. Brett works as a Managing Director at Alcedio Capital Inc., a Boutique Investment Bank and Family Office focused on raising capital and investing in a variety of industries.
